Wendy has been working alongside Children, Young People, Families and Individuals for over 20 years. Wendy has had the privilege of working with people who are facing the challenges of; identity, depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, trauma, emotional difficulties, family/relationship challenges, managing stress and parenting issues.
Wendy’s approach to therapy is a collaborative and creative one, where she works together with her clients to understand the difficulties and challenges they are facing while always recognising and harnessing the skills, strengths and experiences that they bring. Wendy work from a client centred perspective with an evidenced based framework of CBT, ACT, DBT and Narrative Therapy. Wendy will always strive to help you or the person you care about feel comfortable, safe and understood, working at your pace towards the goals that have been developed together.
Wendy understands the strength it takes to reach out and ask someone for help. She believes, and research attests, that an inclusive, safe, strong, and honest therapeutic relationship between a Psychologist and their client is vital in the success of therapy.
