Vicki Nightingale

Vicki is an independent Registered Psychologist with 23 years’ experience. She has worked in private practice settings and in Community Mental Health along with a Special Needs Service and has extensive experience in working with children, adolescents, families, and adults across the lifespan with a person-centred approach. She has worked in Canberra as well as rural and remote centres in Far West NSW and the Central West NSW, and has a lived experience with the challenges of farming, particularly in the recent drought.

Vicki is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and was a
Committee Member for the Western NSW Region Branch of the APS. She is also a Psychology Board approved Psychology Supervisor. She has expertise in a range evidence-based psychological treatment models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Psychotherapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR).

Vicki is passionate about assisting people who have been recently diagnosed with a serious health conditions or chronic health problems, as well as good self-care. She takes a strengths-based approach and specialises in depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, stress, low self-esteem, adult ADHD, workplace difficulties, trauma, adjustment disorders, anger management, interpersonal difficulties as well as grief and loss.
