Karen Ladlow

Karen is an experienced and qualified Social Worker with experience in counselling across a broad range of issues such as Depression & Anxiety, Grief & Loss, Trauma, & Domestic/ Family Abuse. She has worked in the Public Psychiatric system, Public Community Health Sector & the Disability Sector.
Karen works with people of all ages in a gentle, non-judgemental way. Karen will help you identify your goals for counselling, then collaborate with you to develop a plan to achieve your goals.
Karen is skilled in using Expressive Therapies, CBT, Narrative Therapy, ACT, Meditative Mindfulness, Brief Solution Focused Therapy and much more in ways that suit each person’s individual and holistic needs.
Social Work requires a minimum of four years university training including 1000 hours supervised work experience. Social workers are bound by a Code of Ethics, & Practice Standards that underpin all professional interactions. Karen demonstrates dedication to these Practice Standards which include Values & Ethics, Professionalism, Culturally Responsive & Inclusive Practice, Communication & Interpersonal Skills, Professional Development & Supervision, among others.
Karen has a particular interest in working with people with Psychosocial Disability, First Nations People, Young People, People who have experienced Trauma, & End of Life Planning.
