Angela Batty

Angela is an independent registered psychologist having completed both a Bachelor of Psychological Science at the University of New England, and Honours in Psychology through Charles Sturt University (with Executive Deans Award for Academic Excellence). She has also gained a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy through the Institute of Applied Psychology and is a certified NLP practitioner.

Angela combines her diverse life experience and academic expertise to help people improve their overall health and wellbeing, and to achieve their specific goals. Angela works with most mental health presentations and takes a holistic, solution-focused approach to therapy whilst working in a relaxed and non-judgemental setting. She has a particular interest in health psychology, mind/body connections, relationship work, stress management, anxiety, and depression. Angela is highly skilled in the psychological assessment of bariatric and cosmetic surgery patients, as well as those seeking cognitive, adaptive, autism, and ADHD assessment.

Angela is passionate about research and is currently involved in investigating the physiological biomarkers of chronic stress and how these relate to psychological and physiological disease progression. Angela is a member of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI). The foundation of Angela’s work is to help people achieve sustainable positive change that will assist in facilitating a healthy and meaningful life experience.
